ABOUT US

At Wendy Lane Vets we care for cats, dogs, rabbits and all other domestic pets. The practice is run by vet Phil Bareham, with a team of four vets, four nurses and numerous auxiliary nurses and receptionists.

We have a main surgery in Rochdale and a branch in Littleborough.

The veterinary surgery was established way back in 1962 when it was little more than a terraced house. In 1979, having completed her training and spending time travelling and working in other parts of the country, Wendy returned to her hometown of Rochdale where she established Wendy Lane Vets in its current form. From 1979 til 2013, through her tireless dedication and commitment to treat all pets to the highest possible standards, the practice grew from strength to strength in its reputation as a cornerstone to pet care in the local community having now treated the family pets of some households for over thirty years. In 2013 Wendy retired and passed the reigns over to Phil.

Phil qualified in 2004 and worked for three years in Ipswich before joining Wendy Lane Vets. He moved north to start a family with his wife Laura, who is from the Manchester area. He quickly realised what a special place Wendy Lanes was both in terms of the friendly staff, the excellent standards of care and of course the lovely clients and their pets, Phil decided he could happily spend the rest of his working career at the surgery. This ambition was fulfilled in 2013 when Phil was made a partner. He hopes that he can follow in Wendy’s footsteps with the same energy and enthusiasm for caring for pets over the next thirty years.

We believe we can offer our clients and their pets the best possible care at affordable prices. At Wendy Lane Vets we are a well-established surgery both with a dynamic and vibrant approach to pet care. We firmly believe in treating every pet as if they were our own and that we are the local vets you can trust.
